There is a perfect solution for these sweltering southern summer afternoons.
WATER!!
And lots of it!
Daddy inflated tubes and souped up the Slip N’ Slide with dish-soap to optimize slippery conditions!
I sat in a lawn chair observing the fun and read….completely undisturbed.
For 2 HOURS!
Even Evie got in on the action. Doesn’t she look excited?
The big brown strip that now adorns our lawn is a small price to pay for that much fun!
So. Much. Fun!!!!!
I’m pretty sure Evie has the same look on her face that Owen would.. finger in the mouth an all.

I just caught up on a lot of your recent posts. How is it that Evie looks older than when we saw you just two weeks ago? Love that you got to sit a little, thanks to slippery fun! I had the pool out yesterday and got several things done for our upcoming trip while the kiddos played!
It looks like the kids had a blast, but I’m sure you had an even better time than they did! 🙂
We are looking forward to seeing you in just over a week. A summer playdate at the lake sounds great!
