Our Lil’ Brave Hearts
Monday, August 2, 2010
This weekend we got to hang out with some truly phenomenal little people.
They dont have impressive credentials.
They aren’t movie stars or prodigies.
None are rich and famous…yet.
But incredibly inspirational individuals nonetheless.
On Saturday, five local families gathered who all have commonality through our Brave Heart Babies!
We linked up at the splash pad in hopes that the kids could play contentedly and the adults could visit.
Elijah and Evie lovin’ the shower
I declare, my kids were born with gills! They LOVE water!
Alas, thunder ruined our plan approximately 10 minutes after all eleven kids got soaking wet. We piled the picnic food and dripping babies into mini-vans and caravanned to sweet Shannon’s house who graciously hosted all the soggy kids and their families.
Of course, the presence of a very precious Heart Baby was missed. Her absence always leaves a void that cant be filled in our hearts at these sweet gatherings.
Angel Annabelle‘s little brother was quite the life of the party showing off his new toothie smile!
Evie and Lorelei and Izzy eatin’ it up!
We all chowed down on some fabulous chili dogs, mounds of fruit and a dessert buffet. Tristan exclaimed, “Mom, this is so good. It’s just like Cici’s”
I will personally vouch that it was waaaaay better than that:-)
Such a precious group of friends and a tremendous support as we all walk this hard road with our special sweet hearts!
Touching to see the kids and know what they have probably been through….and they all look so healthy!!! Looks like a grand time!!!
We had so much fun! We can’t wait to do it again!
We had such a great time and can’t wait to do it again! I think Justin was way more disappointed about the splash pad than any of the kids were! Ha!
We’ll have to set up another date SOON! 🙂
Love the post! Goodness, you get the best big grins out of Luke! 🙂 I may need to borrow you for some of our photo sessions so that he’ll actually smile.
We’ve begun school but would love a lunch playdate sometime soon!
Love you, friend!
