No Kids Allowed

It took two years of planning.
And a cumulative total of 40 hours of round trip travel time between the 6 couples from 3 different states.
There were at least 13 adults who take responsibility for the 12 kids and 4 dogs left in our absence, but…..we pulled it off!
An entire weekend with adults-only at our house to have time with all my married siblings and their spouses.
 Well….almost adults only.
Gigi was a bit of a party-crasher and hung out on Uncle Erics shoulder for part of the weekend.
Friday night we cooked out and spent the entire evening around the fire catching up as couples filtered in after work or after their drive.  BBQ, a little James Taylor and a blazing bonfire kept us chatting until the wee hours of the morning.
Saturday morning was such a meaningful time as we gathered to all share what we can be praying for eachother in this next year for our marriages and families.  I am so blessed to have siblings who we can be real and honest and there for eachother!

The afternoon provided a crisp fall breeze perfect for sailing.

And we capped off the night with a spiffy dinner at Bonefish Grill for my birthday.  A great way to celebrate with some of the dearest people in my life!
We decided it should be an annual thing.
And are considering a destination location next year…..more on that later!
We look forward to this tradition growing in the years ahead as new in-laws are ushered into the family and as our sibling group grows.  What a joy to have brothers and sisters as my dearest friends.  Truly, a blessing!
