Million Dollar Baby

Evie got another Synagis shot this week. Because she is a heart baby, immuno compromised and has pulmonary issues, her wonderful doctors ensured she receive another year of protection against the very dangerous RSV virus.
Anyone want to guess what the price tag is on these little suckers….???
I thought Id heard wrong when the nurse told me the first time.
= $3,000
And that’s monthly folks! Liquid gold! Can I just say how grateful I am for insurance!
During the RSV season, children that qualify receive this injection every 25 days from September through March. Multiply that by her third winter now and…….
Yes, we’re talking boo-koo bucks!
Ca-ching, ca-ching!!
The wheels in my head have started turning…lets see now…

We get Synagis shots…have for 2 years now!!Thank GOD for insurance….I second that!!! I think our “tab” is at 1.9 million since her birth in August of 2008!

Mandy you captured the joy of raising daughters so beautifully!!
And Jack’s issues have not been near as extreme as Evie’s- but his NICU, cardiologist, GI, and geneticist have all ensured me that I am truly blessed to have medical insurance through the Navy that means we do not pay a single cent.

  • The Carter's says:

Ditto! Our million dollar babies are absolutely priceless!! I love every minute and every penny of mine! 🙂 I’ll have to add up our tab sometime, just for kicks!

YES we are lucky! God has GREAT plans for Evie and Tessa!!! Oh and a tip on the cake pops…..I would use about half of the tub of icing…I think a whole one is way too much! They almost seem raw! But still yummy! 😉
