Merry Christmas 2010

Friday, December 24, 2010
Our hearts and home are full of the sights and smells of the season!
We are abundantly blessed with many, many cousins who are, more importantly, my children’s dearest friends!

Having grown up in a family with 7 brothers, my 3 sisters and I are excited to see the pendulum swinging with sweet girlfriends around for family celebrations, new sister’s-in-law and two more brother’s marrying this summer!

Noses are pressed against the frosted windows every afternoon to see what the post man brings. Surprise packages like this precious dress for Evie that my friend Kelly sent to Evie yesterday.

There are sweet sister slumber parties and secrets wishes and whispers and dreams and visions of sugarplums!

If today is Christmas Eve, naturally, yesterday was “Christmas Adam”:-)
In keeping with our little tradition, we baked half a dozen breakfast tea rings and sticky rolls with Great Aunt Marvel’s secret family recipe and delivered them to neighbors and friends.

Tonight we’re going Christmas caroling at a local nursing home and then going to a candle light service and dinner with grandparents and our visiting California family.
Counting the many, many blessings we are so undeserving of. Remembering the wee babe who left his home in glory to come to a fallen world to bring HOPE and HEALING. Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Special hug to my sweet, talented college friend Crystal who creatively inspired and labored over our Christmas card.
