Fall is for Food!

There are few things that make cold weather just a bit more bearable for me.
A blazing fire curled up next to my honey.
Evergreens strung in white twinkle lights.
My featherbed.
Simmering pot of Chili
A new candle.
Afghan and a rainy Sunday afternoon.
And Campfire Brownies!
This was one of the first things I ever learned to bake as a young girl. So easy, your 9 or 10 year old can make them with just a little supervision and help getting the pan in and out of the oven. I havent made them in ages, but Izzy was my accomplace this time and they did not disappoint.
These are ooey-gooey-goodness!
Prepare Brownies according to box instructions.
As soon as they come out of the oven, drop handfuls of chocolate chips evenly over the top and return to the oven for 2 minutes.
Remove and spread melted chocolate like frosting.
Then place halved marshmallows in even rows on top.
Place in 500 degree oven. Watch carefully so they puff up and “brown” but don’t burn.
Remove and place rows of graham crackers on top….pushing into melted marshmallow to hold.
After it sets, you can cut.
DELISH!
All the joys of camping from the comfort of your own home:)
Happy Saturday friends!
Umm….YUM!! I’ll have to try those!
Those look amazing! How have I never seen a recipe like this before?? Thanks…I think
Awww, my son had a bonfire birthday party on the 19th! If you visit my blog I posted about it today and included some yummy S’mores recipes.
I wish you had posted this earlier, I would have used it as well! He had a S’more Shake, and a S’more Casserole… the kids really enjoyed them, and had a blast! Looks like your little lovies enjoyed theirs also! God bless, angel from One Sewing Mommie
