Blessed!

My hearts desire was to smock and sew matching dresses for my girls for Mothers Day.
Mother’s Day 2009 that was.
The undertaking occupied my time on our three day drive from Montana, through Yellowstone and back to the east coast and the better part of all last summer.
I did the fun part – the smocking,
And my dear mother, (sensing that at the rate I was going, the girls would be graduating from college before I finished) graciously took my smocked pieces and did the “dirty work”….the sewing.
With a whole year to complete the project, I was still sewing on buttons and finishing hems until an hour before we left for church this morning.
What can I say? I work better under pressure.
How my amazing mother managed to raise 11 children, and smock numerous dresses not only for her four daughters, but for our dolls, I still cant fathom!

I think Id better start now if I ever want to crank out dresses for my future granddaughters:-)

We enjoyed a lovely brunch together after church celebrating Chad’s mom. I feel so very blessed to have a mother-in-law that I consider a wonderful friend and role model. My kids are so lucky to have such a fun and precious in-town grandma!
Its Mother’s Day, but today Im thanking God for my husband. For the amazing man God gifted me with to make my dreams come true.
There are many things Id like to try. Aspirations. Dreams. Plans. But only one driving force that has captivated my heart since childhood.
Alway, always, Ive wanted to be a mommy!
Blessed I am!
