Before and After

Another big day behind us. Evie did great! She was most entertaining about 10 minutes after receiving the tranquilizer before they took her for surgery. Oblivious to the fact that it was in the wee hours of the morning, after taking her “happy juice”, she was all smiles and started waving and talking to techs and nurses. Daddy thought she was so funny that he had to get it on video. You just have to understand that this is our child who usually shies away from anyone in scrubs. Evie in the twilight zone…quite the comedian!
So here is the before ………. after.
She spent the rest of the day feeling pretty pitiful and sleeping off the sedation. The arm braces minimizing mobility to keep her from pulling out the ph probe made her miserable. Her GI said the Endoscopy looked fine. 8 biopsies were taken of her stomach and esophagus. We should have info from the probe study by Tuesday, so we’re back in “wait and see” mode. To my “untrained” eye, the numbers didn’t look quite as bad as her last study, so maybe the increased meds are helping.

Here’s to hoping and praying! I hate waiting and seeing as I’m sure you do! I’ve been thinking of you and your sweetie and I have all 10 fingers and toes crossed her numbers come back wonderful!
