Our THIRD Fabulous Friday Freebie is a
Sling of Choice from
Stitches and Seams by Gwen

There is nothing in the world sweeter than a new baby sleeping in your arms. Every new mom quickly learns that baby dear sleeps best right on mother’s chest with the same swooshing sound of her heartbeat that he is used to from the womb. And every baby quickly learns that when put down, all that’s required is a whimper and mommy will rush to pick him up and cradle him back in his favorite spot. But what of the enormous load of burp cloths that are piling up in the laundry room, and the diaper pail that needs emptying, and the dishes from all those meals that have been brought in by the church which are sitting in the sink needing to be washed? How does anything get done with two hands required for rocking the little one back to sleep? Every mommy needs a sling!
Stitches and Seams by Gwen has designed their slings to envelop baby in a hammock on mommy’s heart. It is truly the new mom’s best friend! And the best part is, it grows with your baby. What you can now cradle your two month old in while he naps, you will also be able to cart your two year old through Target in! Check out dozens of classic and funky fabric choices at Stitches and Seams by Gwen (including a camo option cool enough for dad to wear!)
And while you’re picking out a sling to match that cute new pair of non-maternity jeans you proudly just bought, you should also check out Stitches and Seams by Gwen’s cute custom crib designs! For a very reasonable price, you can have a custom crib set made to match your nursery theme.
Take 10% off when shopping this week if you mention Fabulous Friday Freebies. And dont forget a couple of these cute pacifier leashes as stocking stuffers for baby’s first Christmas! How adorable is this?
Or perhaps you’re looking for that perfect “family gift” for relatives and neighbors. Spare them the box of stale cookies and spring for something truly original. Who wouldn’t love an embroidered personalized table runner from Stitches and Seams by Gwen?

We’re baaaaack!

We’ve been MIA all weekend due to a lovely trip to my hometown Atlanta. As one of eleven siblings, family get-togethers are no small celebration!
The occasion this time was the 25th Wedding Anniversary of my aunt and uncle. Theirs is a marriage which has profoundly impacted me as many of my happy childhood memories were spent in their home. It was said at their celebration that the status symbol of our society (which used to be finances and beauty,) is now longevity of marriage. Rare it is to find a couple who are not just sticking it out, but rather, sincerely and selflessly loving eachother! What a testimony!
Our weekend included crazy cousin fun, Grandenny’s pancake brunch with great-grandparents, sweet memory-making with all the “woman-folk” cooking in the kitchen and late night tea & laughter with my mother and sisters by the fire.
Sisters are just the best! Here’s to us growing old and wearing purple and big hats and reminiscing about old times. We’re gonna be a crazy bunch of old ladies someday!

…with our sweet Momma – who raised us better!
